I created this dress to be a pretty traditional solo dress, but I also included many details that I hope would help it to stand out. For instance, I started with a white background. I think that white solo dresses, (while they might not be the most popular) create a clean, bright look, which makes the dancer wearing it look tidy and well put together. I used only two other colors: blue and gold. I chose a light shade of blue because it contributed to the bright look of the dress. The gold is a nice accent that is neither light nor dark. I think it gives the dress a royal look. I also decided to use mainly pearls instead of the regular crystals. I used them on the sleeves, sides and back of the dress. However, I did include the teardrop crystals on the body and sleeves, as well as square ones on the sleeves, collar, and the edge of the skirt.
